Looking for a new challenge In the early 1980ís, Roy bought his first lathe and tried to teach himself to turn.
Many years later he joined a local woodturning club where watching the demonstrations he learnt what he was doing wrong !!
What started out as, just something different to do, has turned into a real passion. He now turns one off Bowls, Platters and Hollow Forms mainly in native hardwoods.
His joy is of crafting the wood to bring out itís natural beauty of grain, texture and pleasing lines. The tactile qualities of turned wood are extremely pleasant, soothing and timeless.
Roy wishes to share his love of wood with you.
Roy is a member of the AWGB and The Chelmer Valley Woodturning Club.
